Angus McEwan

Angus McEwan was born in Dundee in 1963. He studied at the Duncan Jordanstone College of Art from 1985-88. In 1995 he was elected a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (RSW). From 1997 he has been a part-time lecturer at Dundee College. In 2000 he was a founding fellow of the Institute of Contemporary Scotland and a member of the Arts Committee.

 

Over the years he has received a number of awards including the Latimer Award at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Alexander Graham Munro Award. He has won the Elizabeth Greenshields Award twice. In 2001 he was awarded the 'Glasgow Art Club Prize' by the RSW entitling him to a one-man show in the Art's club premises.

 

Angus Mcewan  won 2nd prize in the 2007 Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Group PLC and the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition.
