Catriona Millar

Ever since Catriona Millar’s 2005 Degree Show at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen sold out within a few hours her unique and highly distinctive figurative paintings have captivated and delighted art collectors.

Catriona is now recognised as one of Scotland’s foremost figurative painters. She has exhibited across the UK and her paintings are collected throughout Europe, the Far East and America. She has won the respect and acclaim of collectors, critics and leading galleries while her stunning works continue to enjoy a special place amongst the contemporary art buying public.

In 2007 The Herald newspaper ranked Catriona in the top five most collectable Scottish artists and for the past four years the first works to be sold at the renowned Glasgow Art Fair have been paintings by Catriona. However, amid the growing media coverage and public interest Catriona has continued to push the boundaries of her work by following her singular path through the landscape of the human condition.

This spring Catriona will be exhibiting new work at Thompson’s Gallery in London, The Tolqhuon Gallery, Tarves, The Rendezvous Gallery, Aberdeen and Glasgow Art Fair.

Catriona Millar is listed in the 2009 edition of Who’s Who in Scotland.
