Tony de Wolf: A Realist's Feast

TONY DE WOLF: A REALIST'S FEAST
9 October 2019 - 26 October 2019

London

Thompson's Gallery London is delighted to present a new solo exhibition by Belgian still life master Tony de Wolf. This remarkable body of work has been executed across two years, result of the artist's incredible skill and tempered patience.

Tony de Wolf received world class tutelage under renowned still life painter Willem Dolphyn at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts. The artist has gone on to enjoy an illustrious career of his own, devoting himself to a rigorous practice rooted in Flemish 17th century tradition. Imbuing a new sense of vigour into a longstanding subject matter, de Wolf experiments with capturing a variety of different light effects and textures, from ceramic to fabric and an extensive variety of fruits and vegetables.

Join us in celebration of this new collection, an exemplary display of artistic ability and incredible discipline.
