The New English Arts Club is an elected society of artists. Orginally founded by a group of artists who were dissatisfied by the attitudes of the Royal Academy in 1886. Historically it hosted a range of artists with Impressionism and Post-Impressionism style, however today has many diverse styles of art adding richness and variety to the society.

To celebrate spring and British art we are holding  an exhibition by the hugely talented and well respected artist Tessa Newcomb. We will be showing carefully selected works, varying in size and medium but all with her distinct style and subject matter being at the fore. Tessa has become one of East Anglia’s most iconic artists depicting scenes from Suffolk and Norfolk, often gentle and amusing observations of life and typically with a relationship between human and animal apparent.  She captures the wonderful East Anglian light together with a quirkiness of the way of life in the East, often free spirited and authentic.
