175 HIGH STREET, ALDEBURGH
The Thompson family have long been involved in the business of fine art, with over 30 years of experience. John and Sue Thompson established Thompson's Gallery in 1982 in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. Nine years later they expanded with galleries in the Cotswolds, London's West End and The City of London.
Across the years, more Thompson's have joined the family business. Daughter Megan Thompson currently manages the London flagship on Seymour Place in South Marylebone, while John and Sue remain in Aldeburgh at the founding location. Both galleries present up to eleven shows a year, featuring solo and group exhibitions; the London gallery frequently participates in local art fairs such as London Art Fair and the Affordable Art Fair series.
Thompson's Gallery is known for specialising in 20th-21st Century Modern British art and Scottish Colourist paintings. Additionally, they represent an extensive list of contemporary artists, sourcing high quality original paintings and sculpture year-round.
The gallery staff at both locations offer expert art consultation and are proud to give a friendly face to art dealership. Whether you're a seasoned collector or planning that first acquisition, all are welcome through Thompson's doors.
