Since graduating from the Glasgow School of Art, I’ve worked in the private sector specialising in IT and technical project management while simultaneously trying to pursue my painting career. However, by 2003, I found myself frustrated by the lack of time to paint and decided to paint on a full time basis. So far, I have been fortunate enough to split my time between France and Scotland pursuing my painting.

The works in this exhibition certainly reflect the French influence and increasingly I’ve found myself depicting my sojourn in France more via its wonderful food rather than its landscape.
