Jo Taylor 2011 Exhibition

Jo Taylor, Current Exhibition at Thompson's Gallery Marylebone

Thompson’s Gallery exhibited works by esteemed contemporary equestrian painter Jo Taylor at the CLA Game Fair in Blenheim Palace between 22nd – 24th July 2011. The exhibition now travels to Thompson's Gallery's Marylebone location, and the works are on display alongside the sculptures of Andrew Lacey, Tom Greenshields and Angela Hunter.

Taylor’s observant portraits of horses illustrate the physicality and nature of this exquisite beast in all its form and beauty. Her paintings are a presentation writ large of our relationship to this most revered animal.

Taylor’s artworks combine her two great passions, horses and painting. Always drawn from life, Taylor’s works see her travelling to the world’s most renowned race tracks, although, she does not always restrict her subject matter to that of racing. In fact, horses of all disciplines come under the scrutiny of Taylor’s artistic eye. On display at Thompson's Gallery Marylebone are several of Taylor’s latest contributions to the medium, never before exhibited.

Thompson’s Gallery also take the opportunity to exhibit sculptural pieces by:

Andrew Lacey

Angela Hunter

Tom Greenshields

The works on display constitute a significant individual exhibition in the calendar of Thompson’s Gallery as we look to embody the spirit and character of the country fair and the universal appeal of summertime.
