Summer Exhibition

This well established yearly exhibition proves to be an essential showcase of the current talents in British and Scottish art. As well as new and exciting works by regular exhibitors at Thompson’s Gallery, the show will present works by artists that have never before graced the walls of the gallery.

One can look forward to the enthusiastic form and colour of paintings by Madga Kozarzewska and the ever-energetic landscapes of Nat Young. Brian Whelan, a new artist to Thompsons’s Gallery, will be showing his vivid paintings where everything from human life to flower and fauna fight for space in the rush of Ugandan townscapes. Deviating from the painted surface, the show will see artists such as Colin Moore and Richard Burton present their vision of familiar landmarks with the unique style of print and pastels respectively. The comprehensive list of artists that make up this group show cannot but convince of the excellence in image makers today and the strength of emerging talents.

The list of those artists involved in the exhibition are as follows:

Richard Burton, Damian Callan, Lottie Cole, Jon Duplock, Danielle Eubank, David Eustace R.B.A, Elisabeth Hadley, James Hutchinson, Charles Jamieson MFA PAI PPAI, Michael Kidd, Madga Kozarzewska, Natasha Kumar, Sara Lee Roberts, Alasdair Lindsay, Hannah Ludnow, John MacAulay, Padraig MacMiadhachain, Sylvia Maitlland, Daphne McClure, Sheila McInnes, Sandy McIntosh RSW, Fiona McIntyre, Georgina McMaster, Katty McMurray, Colin Moore, Chris Myers RI RBA, Jacqueline Orr RSW, Juliette Paull Sofia Perina-Miller, Olivia Pilling, Geoffrey Robinson, Henrietta Stuart, James Tweedie, Harry Watkins, Robert E Wells, Brian Whelan, Nat Young.
