Lewis Hazelwood-Horner RBA returns to Thompson's Gallery London for his second solo exhibition titled 'Real Life', after a remarkable debut in 2019 as 'One to Watch'. Born and raised in North London, Hazelwood-Horner is the youngest-ever Threadneedle Prize Winner (2016) and inductee to the Royal Society of British Artists (2018).

His practice pays homage to country and capital by documenting British lifestyle and social rituals in oil. Delivering a unique narrative with every composition, this body of work was painted in real time with its subjects and environments to capture motion, expression and storyline in paint. Veering from the modern painting habit of relying upon photography for reference, Hazelwood-Horner is Britain's youngest plein air figurative painter.

The exhibition will be online from 3rd-19th June 2020.
