Forthcoming Exhibition: 4 Septemer 2019 - 14 September 2019
For her next solo exhibition, Maclaren continues to explore movement, especially through sport. Maclaren, most using raw linen as her surface, continues to progress in to the world of abstract through her exploration of light, atmosphere and movement.
Open at Thompson's Gallery London from 4th September to 14th September 2019. Contact the gallery for more information.
Luci Maclaren was born in Perth Scotland. She has been a professional artist for over 10 years, with solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, Barcelona, Edinburgh and London. Her work has always been dominated by colour and movement which lends itself brilliantly to her sporting art. A drive to mix traditional and contemporary has seen her shooting and racing paintings move from strength to strength. There is now a shift to other beloved sports: rugby, cycling and skiing mostly painted on her new favourite surface - raw linen. The effect is striking, powerful and dynamic. It is both alive with movement and given space to breathe.
