BIOGRAPHY
William was born in 1933 the eldest son Henry Selby a Yorkshire coal miner. He has painted in his spare time throughout a varied career that has included Coal Mining, National Service, Engineering and Insurance. He now paints professionally in oils, watercolour, acrylic and mixed media. His best known subjects include still life, musicians and dramatic and highly personal depictions of his native Yorkshire landscape.
