9 November 2022 - 26 November 2022

Liberate is Jo Taylor's forthcoming solo exhibition at Thompson's Galleries that explores the relationship between horse and horse. Jo Taylor is widely recognised for her equestrian paintings. A keen rider herself, she often features riders, but for the past two years, Taylor has focused upon relationships among the animals she depicts.

The grounding of Taylor's work lies in the technical accuracy with which she depicts her subjects, gleaned from an artist's residency at the University of Liverpool's Department of Veterinary Science. However, the true joy in this new collection lies in the dynamism, power, and expression that is presented to us in Taylor's unique and engaging style.

New English Arts Club

7 December 2022 - 23 December 2022

The New English Arts Club is an elected society of artists. Orginally founded by a group of artists who were dissatisfied by the attitudes of the Royal Academy in 1886. Historically, it hosted a range of artists with Impressionist and Post-Impressionist style, however today has many diverse styles of art adding richness and variety to the society.

We look forward to hosting our exhibition of selected New English Arts Club members as our final show of 2022.
