About

Henk Scholtz is an internationally recognised garden designer and visual artist. He gained global recognition through his feature on the BBC programme “Around the World in 80 Gardens”, hosted by Monty Don, where his innovative approach to garden design was prominently acknowledged.

As a visual artist, Henk is best described as an outsider artist—a self-taught creative whose work lies outside the traditional boundaries of the art world. His practice includes creating sculptures, mobiles from found and recycled objects, and vibrant paintings deeply inspired by nature and his garden design work.

Henk’s unique ability to transform everyday materials into compelling works of art has earned him a place in both local and international collections, with pieces housed in New York, Australia, England, Mozambique, and beyond. His legacy is one of transformation—turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.
