About

Lara is a graduate of Camberwell Art College in London, and she holds a Postgraduate in ceramics from Edinburgh College of Art. She has exhibited extensively and has received many awards for her work including Premier winner of The Fletcher Challenge in New Zealand and Honourable Mention at Mino Ceramics, Japan. Lara is a fellow of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain and a professional member of Contemporary Applied Arts, London.

 

Graphic pattern and bold colour are a continuous source of inspiration to Lara’s work.She has a deep fascination with pattern and texture and works with these elements to develop a symbiotic relationship of both surface and from.

 

Although Lara now makes full time, she has extensive teaching experience having taught ceramics and design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art for over 20 years.
