Dr Willie Bester is a South African painter, sculptor, and collage artist, widely recognised for his powerful political commentary and his protest against the apartheid system through art. Best known for his inventive use of found objects and scrap materials gathered from townships, his work combines painting, sculpture, and assemblage to create deeply personal and socially charged narratives.
He currently lives in Kuils River, South Africa, with his wife Evelyn and their three children.
