Christian Moore British
Christian Moore is a self-taught contemporary British artist based in rural Perthshire, Scotland. Working with sculpted bronze, mineral pigments and organic materials on hessian, he creates distinctive, richly textured works that sit between painting and relief.
Often featuring a solitary tree, his compositions explore themes of connection, memory and belonging. Drawing on his earlier career as a fashion illustrator in London, working with clients including Chanel and Tatler, Christian brings a refined sense of line, balance and simplicity to his work.
Inspired by the natural landscape, he has developed an unconventional process of layering and removing pigments, plaster and paint to create beautifully weathered surfaces. Bronze elements introduce a sense of permanence and time, while his often witty or poignant titles offer another layer of meaning.
His work is held in private collections internationally and has been exhibited across the UK, Europe and the United States.
