A duo exhibition bringing together two notable, Scottish female painters who each have their own distinctive points of view.

Morag Muir is inspired by and influenced greatly her studio, a Victorian house in Newport-on-Tay, which overlooks the mile-wide River Tay, with views of Dundee framed by the Tay Rail and Road Bridges. The ever-changing scenery, from vibrant sunsets to shimmering city lights, inspires the creative space, filled with collected objects.

Her paintings often start with a still life, where objects and 'bric-a-brac' such as porcelain wally dogs and wooden portugese roosters act as characters shaping the composition and narrative. These whispered stories, open to interpretation, explore themes of love, loss, and everyday life. The view across the river often reimagines Dundee as a dreamy Tuscan hill town, blending reality and imagination.
