Thompson’s Gallery is thrilled to announce an upcoming solo exhibition by celebrated British artist Paul Wright. Represented by the gallery since the very start of his career in 2006, Wright has become renowned for his expressive, energetic paintings that beautifully balance abstraction and representation.

This exciting showcase will feature a brand new collection of works exploring identity, memory and human connection in his unmistakably emotive style. It’s an exciting return to form for one of the UK’s most compelling painters and a significant year in his artistic journey. and  Known for his bold brushwork, vibrant colour palettes, and the emotional resonance of his portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, this exhibition promises to be a captivating exploration of his artistic journey.

This exhibition coincides with Paul's seclection for the 2025 Herbert Freehills Kramer Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery (formerly the BP Portrait Award). Out of over 40,000 entries, just 46 works were selected.
