Three Great Scots

29 April - 15 May 2026 London
About

This upcoming exhibition will bring together three distinguished, Scottish painters: Stuart Buchanan, Jonathan Robertson and James Harrigan

A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, James Harrigan is renowned for his expressive oil landscapes and coastal scenes that capture the character of the Scottish countryside and beyond, with work held in notable collections and exhibited widely in the UK.

Stuart Buchanan, also trained in Glasgow, explores the human condition in serene figurative works and evocative landscapes, blending thoughtful narrative with elements of solitude and calm.

Jonathan Robertson, born in Banff and likewise a Glasgow School of Art alumnus, contributes vibrant oil paintings and prints inspired by coastal life and community, marked by narrative charm and a keen sense of place.

Together, their varied yet complementary practices showcase the richness and diversity of Scottish contemporary painting.
